Desk to Dance floor! quick party makeup tricks
I know we all face the same issues when getting ready for a party, weather you have little time due to children, work or a side hustle, we all can use some easy and quick tips to take your makeup to party ready. Here are my quick time savers that take me from my desk to the dance floor.
A statement lip
i love a red lip! easiest way to look fresh and polished.
The quickest way to take your makeup from now to wow is to swap out your everyday lip shade, I know you all have one, you know, the one that lives in your bag and you always divert back to it. Well, you need to ditch that one for the night and try something different. Now, a statement lip can be a statement for YOU. It doesn’t have to be red, but it can be, or it can be metallic, bright, nude glossy. It is like putting on a statement earring, it should be the centre piece of your look, and remember to have fun! Some of my go to faves are, Bobbi Brown Luxe matte lipstick in Red Carpet. I am a classic girl at heart and can’t resist a good red. For a fun metallic option Tom Ford Beauty Liquid Metal Lip Lacquer in Rouge Metal is also another easy go to with some metallic sparkly joy!
3 step smoky eye
This shadow is like diamonds on your eyes! Super sparkly and so easy for a party look.
A smoky eye is a sultry option for an evening look. I like to try to do mine in the easiest and quickest way, Smoky doesn’t have to mean 5 shadows 5 brushes and an hour in front of the mirror. You can do this with just 3 products and 2 brushes. I like to use Bobbi Brown long wear Gel liner in Caviar ink , Tom Ford Beauty Private Shadow Sparkle Eyeshadow in Camera Obscura and Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara, I just found out about this gem in the advent calendar and have to say it is a dream! How to get the look: Start with the gel liner, be generous and blend it out with a nice blending brush, keeping it on the lid, you can apply more along the lashline to get the depth there rather than the crease, this really brings out the eye more. Next, using your finger sweep the sparkle shadow on top. These sparkle shadows hide a multitude of blending sins! They will mask any imperfections in the blend and also gives the most diamond like effect on the eyes! Finish with lashings of mascara! around 3 coats! You can never have enough! and now you are party ready!
Of course scent is the finishing touch. For my party season I am choosing Kilian Good Girl Gone Bad Extreme, because when I am bad I am better! lol!
